WoodRiver® Dust Connection™ Funnel Reducer Dust Collection Fitting improves the efficiency of your shop vacuum powered dust collection system. This tapered reducer allows a smooth transition from 4" hose to a variety of fittings you may be using to connect to your shop vacuum. One side of the 4" to 2-1/2" Funnel Reducer Fitting fits inside most 4" dust collection hose, while the other side fits inside most 2-1/2" dust collection hose.

    Website Description needs to include accurate ID and OD

    This could be a general statement for nearly all of the dust collection fittings in the store. You really need to measure the ID and OD of your 2 1/2 hoses and ports and the information on the website needs to include those dimensions as well. I have a large storage bin of Woodcraft fittings purchased over the years that are the remnants of projects where I have had to purchase adapaters and couplings to finish the work.

    Fits a Ridgid shop vac hose

    Buying these reducers from the website is pretty difficult, as the outer and inner diameters matter for these. I had bought another Woodriver 4" x 2 1/2" reducer that didn't fit. With the help of one of the guys at the Walpole location, I was able to get the right reducer, which is this one! So if you are trying to fit the reducer over your 2 1/2" shop vac hose (mine is Ridgid) then you should measure the OUTER diameter of your shop vac hose end/connection. If it's 2 1/4, then this will fit over it. Thanks again, Walpole. You're my favorite store.

    Fitting Description is not correct

    First off, the description should say hose reducer. Secondly, the actual dimensions are 3.9 X 2.25 inches O.D. This would help in ordering the correct part. Now I must return them and reorder. Two more shipping charges.
