Nice kit

Though a bit pricey, the results were very good. I made mine with ebony; the black, combined with the gold and chrome makes a simple, elegant look. I don't like bulky pens so much, i think the black decreases the visual weight, adding to it's refined look. It's got good weight, feeling good in the hand. The ink flows well from the smooth writing nib. The cap threads engage nicely, with a feeling of quality. The one downside to the kit: this pen has a lot of parts!!! Read and follow the instructions very carefully; took me a few readings and laying everything out before pressing anything together to get everything right. There is one set of parts which look almost identical to another set (and are marked identically on the diagrams!) ... but they are not the same!!! Luckily, disaster was avoided.

An elegant yet simple design

The Kojent is a unadorned design, with lines reminiscent of pens from the 20's and 30's. That's what makes the fountain pen perfect for this style. Comes with a finer point nib than other FPs I've done, which gives a nice line when writing. The kit assembles easily, which is good because the directions are a bit choppy, leaving out some parts altogether! But it's pretty intuitive for a turner with some pen experience.
